When Jobscan is the better choice

We publish this page, so treat the framing accordingly — but a comparison that says the competitor is worse at everything is not a comparison. There are cases where Jobscan is straightforwardly the right tool and we are not.

You only want the score. If your CV is written, you are happy editing it yourself, and you want a second opinion on keyword match, that is precisely what Jobscan is built for. Buying a whole workflow to get one number is poor value.

You are applying occasionally. Weekly billing suits an active search. If you send two applications a month, a monthly plan on a single-purpose tool costs less than a workflow you are not using.

You want the longest track record. Jobscan has been in this category far longer than we have and has a large body of published material and user history behind it. We are newer, with fewer public references. That is a real difference and it is reasonable to weigh it.

You need a free option today. Jobscan gives a limited number of free scans per month. We have no free plan — our free tools require an account and our plans start at €5/week.

What the price actually works out at

Weekly billing is easy to misread as cheaper than it is, so here it is in the same units. Our €5/week Starter plan is roughly €20/month if you run it continuously, and €8/week Pro is about €32/month.

The saving is not a lower rate — it is that you stop paying the week you accept an offer, rather than carrying a subscription through months you are not searching. If your search runs long, compare the monthly figures directly rather than the headline weekly one.

Common questions

Is Lumyhired a drop-in replacement for Jobscan?

For the ATS audit, yes — that is the part that overlaps. For everything else the products are different shapes: Jobscan is a scoring tool, Lumyhired is a search-audit-tailor-track workflow. If you switch, you are not swapping like for like; you are buying a larger thing.

Can I use both?

Yes, and some people reasonably do — Jobscan as an independent second opinion on the score, Lumyhired for the tailoring and pipeline. There is no technical conflict.

Do you match Jobscan's ATS coverage?

We test against the documented parsing behaviour of the major systems rather than claiming to run their engines, which are proprietary and not licensable by anyone. Be sceptical of any tool — ours included — that claims to be running Workday's or Taleo's actual parser.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Cancellation stops billing at the end of the current week and you keep access until then. See the privacy policy for retention and deletion.
